ASBOA Executive Secretary/Treasurer

As I am sure you are aware, Julia Reynolds is retiring as the executive secretary/treasurer of ASBOA at the end of the 2022-2023 school year.

Much to her chagrin, we’ll celebrate her accolades, career, and legacy as the date draws closer.  That is, if she doesn’t try and disappear before we have the opportunity!  In the meantime, the search process for the new executive secretary/treasurer has begun.

As defined in the ASBOA Constitution and Bylaws, Article 4, Section F, An Executive Advisory Committee will select and evaluate the ASBOA Executive Secretary Officer.  This committee will consist of the current ASBOA President, the Immediate Past President, and five additional Past Presidents to be selected in the order of the most recent service as ASBOA President until five posts are filled.  Each year, the member with the least recent service as President will rotate off the committee and the new ASBOA President will be added.  (Revised All-State 2000).

The committee has met numerous times over the past three months, and has developed a job description, application, and interview process.

It is the committee’s desire to have the position filled by the 2022 summer executive board meeting, and have the new person intern with Ms. Reynolds for a full ASBOA calendar year, before taking over at the beginning of the 2022-2023 school year.

If you are interested in applying for this position, please click the following links for detailed information and an online application.  The window for receiving applications opens at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, November 5, 2021, and closes at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, December 15, 2021.
