The director would also be the lead conductor and administrator of the Middle School symphonic band, a full instrumentation ensemble with a history of superior ratings at contest. The director will work closely with the Director of Bands towards the success of the high school band program, both marching and concert. They will act in both an instructional and logistical capacity for the high school program, with various teaching, organizational, and conducting duties that will change throughout the school year. Other duties will include fundraising, beginning band recruitment, and other administrative duties involving the middle school band program.

The Ozark Philharmonic Youth Orchestras (OPYO) is looking for a conductor for the 2018-19 season.
By offering an enhanced orchestral experience to young musicians throughout NWA, Southeast Oklahoma, and Southwest Missouri, the Ozarks Philharmonic Youth Orchestras provides a nourishing, creative environment where young musicians can share their love for music. Elementary Music Positions:
     1) Clinton Elementary - full time, single location, must be certified K - 5 in either Vocal or Instrumental Music Education
     2) Clinton Elementary/Crystal Hill Elementary - full time, multi-location (shared between the 2 schools), must be certified K-5 in         either Vocal or Instrumental Music Education
     3) Crystal Hill Elementary - full time, single location, must be certified K-5 in either Vocal or Instrumental Music Education
     4) Choral Director - Mills/Fuller feeder pattern, shared between the two schools, must be Vocal Music Education certified for 5 -8 AND 7 - 12. 
     5) Choral Director - Sylvan HIlls Middle School, music be Vocal Music Education certified for 5 - 8 and 7 - 12. 
     6) Choral Director - Robinson High and Robinson Middle School choirs, must be Vocal Music Education certified for 5-8 and 7 - 12.

UCA
The University of Central Arkansas is seeking Music Education Graduate Assistants for the 2018-19 school year.  Duties of these positions could include the following: (a) attending undergraduate music education classes for which assistantship is assigned, (b) assisting with administrative duties for the music education classes, including setup, attendance, filming student teaching, (c) tutoring students as necessary, (d) overseeing sections when the class is broken into peer teaching assignments or separate field work assignments, and (e) teaching class in the instructor’s absence. In addition, these positions may perform administrative duties as necessary and assist with the Voices of Central Arkansas (VOCA) choirs, depending on the strengths of the candidates.  The entire assistantship stipend is for $7000 per year, with $3500 paid each semester. The position includes an annual $5000 music scholarship that will be applied directly toward graduate tuition and fees.  For more information or to apply, please contact Jennifer K.
